Around sixty tons of material (Icelandic lava) are laid out. Eliasson stages something like landscape in the museum and thematizes the relationship between nature and culture. His own movement, the space and its acoustics become experienceable and conscious in a new way. Changed surroundings and altered perception interfere. The lava appears aesthetic and threatening.
